About Mindi
This beautiful girl is Mindi.
Mindi is an affectionate 12 year old female British short hair in need of a forever home since her owner went into aged care.
Mindi has led a very sheltered life, always indoors, but would probably really love to explore a small garden or courtyard all of her own. Having never been outside, she has never been in a cat fight and never caught a bird, so it's probably better if she goes to a home where she doesn't have to defend her territory from other cats, and can continue to specialise in catching small moths and playing with bugs that come inside.
She is very happy with her current routine of sleeping (on her favourite blankie on the couch), eating, smooching around your legs to let you know it is meal time, and sitting next to you for a pat when you are watching TV. In fact, that is one of her favourite things - she doesn't really want to be on your lap, although you could probably encourage her to - she mainly wants to be within arms length of you on the couch so that the patting doesn't stop. You'll love the richness of her purr and her appreciation of your attention. If you pat her right, she'll respond with a husky little "meuogh". Not your classical "meow" though!
However she is a bit of a princess too - she's very particular about what food she likes and it's clear she spends quite a bit of the day contemplating the next meal. So don't bother with any of the 'loaf' type canned food. She only likes the gravy varieties (so she can lick the gravy off and leave the rest) and only two brands. But she does like raw meat, which is probably also why she has such a fine coat of hair. Which will need to be brushed regularly! Did I mention brushing is one of her favourite things? She absolutely loves it - even more than patting. And you will need to, because she loves moulting too.
Lastly, Mindi is in excellent health and has a complete veterinary record since she nearly always went to the same vet. But not too much raw meat because it's a little rich for her system.
Hopefully the quiet, loving home Mindi is looking for is your home.
Mindi's adoption is an assisted adoption via PetRescue's Home2Home program. You will be speaking with Mindi's owner when you enquire.
Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of adoption fee. Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
