About Perrie
Perrie is an affectionate sweetheart. She gives the best cuddles and loves to nestle right into your shoulder and neck to give you her famous kisses.
Perrie loves her walks and zoomies around the backyard. She has sudden bursts of joyful energy which put a smile on your face watching. She loves having a backyard to run around in and toys to throw in the air.
Perrie loves her walks, enjoying two 30 minute jaunts around the neighbourhood. If she has her zoomies and walks, Perrie is happy to nap for the rest of the day. She is your typical greyhound in that respect.
Food ! Food is Perrie’s passion. She loves her dinner and any treats she may be offered. You will need to keep an eye on the kitchen bench and the bin is a source of treasure for Perrie. Perrie also likes to collect various household items like shoes to bring back to her collection on her bed. Nothing is chewed, just “borrowed”
Perrie is learning how to be a polite hound in her foster home. She will now wait patiently for her dinner and will go to her bed when instructed. Perrie is toilet trained and uses a doggy door to pop out and do her business.
Our girl is happily sharing her home with another dog. They get along quite well and other than the very occasional squabble like most sibblings they enjoy each other’s company. Perrie would need a home with another suitable canine companion and humans that are mostly at home.
This gorgeous girl, Perrie will lighten up your life with her joy and affection.

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.
During the COVID crisis, not all of our rescued Greyhounds will have the usual socialisation with other dogs so we may advise to use a muzzle in some situations until the dog is fully socialised.

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
