About Pam
(Almost) 3 yo Pam is just the sweetest snuggle bug.
Pam loves pats, chicken, morning snuggles, napping, enthusiastically greeting her many admirers, and more naps. Pam (very politely) doesn’t usually jump on the couch in her foster home but is partial to an (invitation-only) early morning wake-up spoon on the bed – watch out for those stretchy greyhound elbows! Pam also loves making a nest in your pillows.
Pam gets along well with (most) other greyhounds and adores meeting new humans. In fact, Pam loves new people so much that she is still learning not to jump all over them to say hello. Pam hasn’t had much experience with kids but is very sweet with her primary school aged neighbours. If there are children in her new home, we’d recommend aged 10 years +, just because she can be a bit (friendly!) boisterous sometimes.
In foster care, Pam has had a permanent resident greyhound brother Roger showing her how good life in a home can be. Pam would love a forever home with another greyhound friend (pending introductions). Pam could also be an only dog, lapping up all her humans affections. Although Pam has been fine when home alone with Roger, if she is an only dog her new humans may have to introduce ‘along time’ slowly. For this reason, we wouldn’t recommend a home with people who are out of the house for FT office hours.
Pam is not small dog friendly however is making great progress at staying calm while the “little fluffies” stroll by on walks. Aside from her greyhound brother, Pam has not had much opportunity to interact with other dogs and her new home will continue to take socialisation slowly.

• What your work and social commitments will look like as Covid restrictions continue to ease
• The time and financial commitments of adopting a forever hound
Please NO enquiries from:
• Homes where Pam would be the only dog AND home alone for long periods of time
• Homes with small or medium non-greyhound breeds, cats, or other pocket pets
Adoption details
1) Please email adopt@amazinggreys.com.au
2) Our adoptions team will send you an application form so we can learn more about you, your household and lifestyle
3) Once you submit an application, a volunteer from Amazing Greys then conducts an in person home check so that you can learn more about us and our community (all of our volunteers are fully vaccinated and must abide by our COVID Safety Plan)
4) Based on the home check, our adoptions team will suggest a suitable match for you*, and a meet and greet will be arranged with the foster home
5) After the meet and greet, should you decide to proceed the greyhound will be placed on a 3 week trial with you
5) At the completion of the trial period, our $385 fee will be due and the greyhound becomes an official member of your family!
Our team will keep in touch with you throughout the process and help you to settle in your new greyhound; but you will also have lifetime support, at any point post adoption our team can assist with referrals to qualified behaviourists and also providing resources and in home consultations where required.
*Where a suitable match is not available, you may be placed onto a wait list. Please note, we do not cat test and may refer applications with small animals to organisations that are able to assist with a placement
