About Apollo
All About Me and My Unique Personality:
Hello, I'm Apollo! I am a very sweet & happy boy as you can see from my beautiful big grin! I love to play, run & especially love my belly being rubbed. I am happy inside but also content outside with a comfy bed. I love to run and play with other dogs but am also okay on my own, as long as I am walked and played with regularly I'm happy! I just want love and attention. I can play fetch & love toys, especially chew toys as I'm only young. Once I'm worn out for the day I love to snuggle up for cuddles & belly rubs. I travel very well in cars, I just lay down and sleep. I've also travelled on the back of utes before and am okay with this, as long as I'm secured & tied up. I love walking but do pull a little on the lead when I see someone I want to sniff and play with. But I'm a very smart boy so am getting better with this every day. I can sit, shake hands, lay down, roll over, crawl & wait on command. Treats really excite me and motivate me to be very good!
My Ideal Home:
My ideal home would be an active single person, couple or family with older kids who can give me the time and exercise I need. Ideally not a family with young children under 7 as although I love kids I can be a little boisterous and excitable. I love other dogs but they would need to keep up with my playing and energy levels. I am also content as an only pet if my parents can show me some affection & time throughout the day. I am not an escape artist & am happy to be left home alone, although I'd love to come to work with you if you'll let me! My ideal home would have a fully fenced yard for me to run around, maybe even a property or farm to give me lots of space.
What is Known About My Background:
Unfortunately my cat sibling & I were surrendered due to a domestic violence situation. Because of this I do get a little scared & cower when people move very fast or around loud noises. I tend to gravitate more towards men but love my foster mum & anyone who wants to pat & play with me. I went through a few foster homes until I found the right one but I'm now happy and ready for my forever home!
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets:
Although I love kids, I can be a bit much for small children so would prefer bigger kids over 7 who can run around & play with me without feeling scared or getting hurt from my excited nature. I LOVE playing & running with other dogs so would really love a dog sibling if they were young and active enough to keep up with me. I have previously lived with cats so am not bothered by them but any cat siblings would need to be dog friendly as I can try & play with them and be a bit excitable, which might upset some cranky cats!
