About Sid
Oh, are you going somewhere? Don't worry, Sid will come too so you don't get lonely! Whatever you do from now on, it's an activity that will take two.
While we might say that Sid 'suffers from separation anxiety', he would like you to know that his perfect home will understand he just thrives with constant company, he's looking for human companions that will continue to grow his confidence alone with very short exposure periods to start, but ideally he needs someone regularly home or who can take him along to work. With his super sweet temperament and love of greeting new humans, Sid would make a fabulous office/shop dog, content to snooze the day away in the corner and occasionally doing the rounds to ensure that everyone is meeting their KPIs (Keep Patting Indefinitely) for the day.
Despite his young age, Sid is a very calm and gentle dog, and would be suited to a home with children who have experience with large breeds (given his size, there will need to be supervision and careful play between small humans and hound). Sid gets along well with other dogs he meets on walks (and his working on his manners with small dogs with excellent progress so far) but could potentially go into a home with a second dog, pending introductions.
Sid is currently living in a city apartment, and after some initial freezing he has adjusted well to the hustle and bustle of his local streets; he delights in an adventure to new areas where there is lots of things to sniff and explore. His new home will need to be prepared to take things slowly in his first few weeks to allow him to become accustomed and confident. For this reason, Sid would likely settle in best with a courtyard or garden area so he can take walks in his new neighbourhood at his own pace - he is also a stair master and climbs the flights at his foster home daily without issues, so could be suited to a townhouse.
If you think you can offer Sid the companionship that he needs, please contact us at adopt@amazinggreys.com.au for an application form.
Before enquiring please consider:
• What your work and social commitments will look like as Covid-restrictions continue to ease
• The time and financial commitments of adopting a forever hound
Please note, we will NOT be accepting applications from:
• homes with cats, chickens, or other pocket pets/small animals
• homes where Sid will be left alone
