Tokyo is a gentle giant. She doesn't really understand shes a big dog, and can be VERY clumsy running into walls and doors whens shes playing and excited.
She has been such a great additional to the household in foster care, really entertaining her foster brother ( 1 years old male) she is great with dogs - would only suggest her living in a home with a mid - larger breed ( she hasnt been tested on small dogs) and has such a playful personality.
Tokyo is well mannered, house trained and understands the basics: sit, wait, on your bed, and knows when shes being cheeky and getting told off, she runs straight to her bed to try and curl up and hide. She is strong on the lead and can pull, but isnt too bad, will just require some ongoing training for this very eager girl.
She loves to instigate play time with her foster brother and jump around ontop of one another, play tug of war and then have a nice - sometimes loud -nap after.
She is a happy girl and happy in the presence of humans. She can be left alone for hours at time - usually we have left her outside tucked in under the blanket and shes been just fine. She can be vocal when left alone outside but doesn't take long before she calms down and finds her groove. She will bark the house down when you return letting her new owners know that she is happy her humans are home. ( Sounds scary and loud but its from a good place)
Tokyo has been sleeping inside and spending majority of her time inside with the family, but has also managed to enjoy her time spent outside if she has a nice warm cosy bed, and is tucked in - this is when she settles.
While in foster care she hasn't been tested around any children /babiesbut i would suggest no children under 10 due to her size and playfulness. She has the tendency for tail whip last from excitement.
Not suitable to be re- homed with cats, pocket pets or small dogs
