About Reggie
Is today the best day of your life? Well you’ve obviously checking out handsome Reggie so we’re going to say yes.
Reggie turns 1 in December and is a through and through true blue cattle. After a very rough start in life he found his way to us. You see, Reggie is super special, he sits, waits, shakes one paw than two and knows with a point of your finger that he needs to stop. Reggie is so special he knows all of these things by hand signals and is learning more, because Reggie is Deaf.
Now, some people are scared of deaf dogs because they think it’s too hard. We can tell you with an abundance of experience that they are no different, and just think how impressive it is to not have to say a word and with a wave of your hand have your best mate know exactly what to do!!
Now, about you!! Reggie loves his furry company and playing more than almost anything (except maybe food). So you will have another playful fur baby at home or have a lifestyle where Reg can be your shadow and have lots of playtimes.
He has no problem being home if you work the 9-5 grind however he will need a best friend to play during the day. Reg is showing the signs of being a dominant pup so his fur friend will be young and playful like Reggie.
Being a cattle dog he does have some traits we are working on like he can be a bit jumpy, and while he isn’t a big nipper he isn’t a fan of dancing and lets you know. If you have any mini humans training for both is highly recommended.
Hmmm what else, not a fan of bath time but very curious around creeks and the beach, loves his carrots and apples and lollies (fish oil tablets), the quickest way to his heart however is a good scratch behind his ears and then when your trusted, belly rubs go a long way too.
Reggie is currently part of a pack in North Brisbane and adoption will be a slowly integrated process to ensure you and Reg have the training you need for his forever home.

Adoption Process
We send out our application to the new potential family and when our forms are returned we start a process called screening. When we have finished our screening and all information that comes back is approved. We do a meet and greet, sometimes more than two. If all parties are happy, we then allow our foster furkid go into your home. After 3 weeks (for dogs) / 6 weeks (for cats) sometimes more, see how everyone is going, then we change over microchip registration if everything is great.
