About Mocca
If you are interested in Mocca or any of our Greyhounds then please fill in our adoption form; https://www.hounds-in-homes.com/adoptionform
My name is Mocca and I am a 2.5yo petite Brindle Greyhound weighing 26kgs. After a very short period of racing, I now look forward to my new life as a loving and affectionate member of your family.
My foster pawrents and foster sister (another greyhound, Tina) have been great to me and they will tell you that I am a well natured, clean (house-trained) and gentle dog, that I enjoy play time and squeaky toys as well as hanging out with you in my bed while you work. I love spending time in the sun or having some alone quiet time by myself. I haven’t experienced pet life with smaller animals, yet.
When outside I must stay on the lead, but I can walk up and down stairs and get into the car. I need some more exposure to other dogs, but I play great with my foster sister and have been curious but fine with other dogs so far.
Every two weeks, my favourite 6yo hooman visits, I can watch her play calmly as long as my boundaries are respected. I am curious but good with older children that understand my doggy boundaries.
I was left with a very dry itchy skin when I became a pet, but my foster pawrents have been working through this with medicated products and skin sensitive food to clear out the flakiness. This will need to continue to be managed until we find out the root cause and treatment to clear it out.
I might be a bit anxious at the beginning with new routines and environment, but with time I will learn to trust and settle down.
Mocca.
