About Dobby

- A playful, energetic, desexed medium-large female adult (not senior) dog.
-An active family/person able to take him for regular walks, exercise and outings.
-Ongoing positive training
-Must be allowed to spend time indoors with his people.
-Big yard with enough room for 2 active dogs to run and play.
-Secure fencing.
Please meet Dobby.
He is a cheeky boy. He is confident and outgoing. He loves a snuggle. He very rarely barks and is very affectionate. He loves meeting new people. He always greets them with lots of attention.
Dobby is very energetic and needs regular exercise, outings and mental stimulation to prevent him getting bored.
He has met a wide range of breeds and sizes of other dogs and he is very good with them all. Particularly plays well with bigger dogs who have a similar energy level. He likes to wrestle with other dogs so he's best suited to a dog similar size or bigger dog companion as he can be a bit rough with smaller dogs in his excitement. He likes to bite the ankles of other dogs.
He has not been around children other than at the park he does run over to children but is very gently. A home with no young children will be best.
He hasn't been around cats or other small animals so he will be best suited to a home without them.
Dobby has learnt how to sit, stay, fetch & is very good with recall. He does jump up on people and pulls when he's being walked so his new owner/s will need to be prepared to work with him through positive, force free training.
He travels very well in the car and is very calm.
He does not bark when his foster carers go out but being a young boy he can be destructive if given the chance. His carers remove anything that he could destroy. He is mostly left outside when people aren’t home. He is known to empty the recycling bin on occasions!
His foster mum says "Whoever adopts Dobby is very lucky to have such a loving and loyal friend."
Dobby is toilet trained, will make his carers aware by walking to the back door when he needs to go out.
Due to Covid lockdowns his foster carers have been working from hom so he hasn’t had to spend more than 6/7 hours alone and that’s only been on a few occasions.
If you match the type of home described we'd love to hear from you.
Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
Breeds and ages stated are to the best of our knowledge.
