Richie ~ 5yr Old Staffy X

Meet Richie a 5 year old Staffy cross, about 20kg who is looking for a family to give him love.

Richie has led a somewhat sheltered life and would love a patient family or couple who would include him in their lives and show him all the things he’s been missing out on like regular walks, how to play fetch and car rides.

Richie has been an outside dog all his life, so he would be fine with people who go to work during the day but he would love his new family to still have energy to walk him and spend time with him when you’re home. He would love to be allowed to sleep inside at night and will show you how grateful he is with lots of cuddles. Richie is very gentle when receiving pats and really shows you how grateful he is for attention.

Richie has previously lived with another medium sized dog, and he would probably love a playmate again as he has missed his companion for the last couple of years which has made him quite excitable when he does see another dog now, a meet would be important to make sure he’s not too excitable for a new companion. He would also be fine as an only dog, providing he’s included in the family.

Richie responds well to his name and knows basic commands, sit and stay, but he would love to learn more from you. He’s so willing to please and would make an excellent student! Richie has been called the ‘dancing dog’ for his ability to stand on his back legs balancing for long enough for a cuddle or a pat. This impressive skill could be off-putting for smaller children as he would stand taller than them and could accidently knock them over, for this reason we want to rehome Richie to a family with children 10 years and older only!

Richie is located in Elermore Vale, Lake Macquarie. His adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated and up to date with worm and flea treatment.
