About Harold
Harold is a calm, cheeky, friendly, gentle giant! He has the sweetest soul and wants nothing more than a human to call his own.
Harold’s favourite time of day is play time! Though, you will notice his rules of how to play fetch are a little different to most. You throw it, he grabs it, he gives you the eyes, then you come to him and throw it again. Harold will have you wrapped around his little finger in no time!
Harold loves his walks. He is very friendly towards humans and other dogs he passes. However, Harold does experience mild anxiety, so if he doesn’t want to be near something you will notice he will turn away and give you those adorable eyes to ask to turn the other way.
At the dog park, Harold happily lets other dogs approach him and will often go greet the other dogs as well. He plays well with dogs of all sizes! A pat from one of their humans also never goes astray.
A true lap dog, Harold loves nothing more than cuddling up to you on the couch. He never lets his size get in the way of soaking up all of the cuddles and love. Whilst you’re home, Harold will never be too far! He is improving on his FOMO (fear of missing out) with positive reinforcement and is becoming a better independent young man. Harold would be best suited to a family where there is someone around more often than not.
Harold is mostly housetrained, and will alert you if he needs to go outside. His experience with children, cats and small animals is limited so we are seeking a forever home where Harold is the centre of attention, or where he is able to live with another friendly canine friend!
If I sound perfect for you, please complete the short adoption application form in the attached link, please note this is the only way your application will be considered: https://homelesshounds.com.au/adopt/dogs
