About Sox
This gorgeous boy had been coming to my backyard for about 6 mths.
He was shy at first but soon started to let me pat him. He was a bit of a “lad” and was notorious for fighting other neighbourhood cats. Although he did become good friend with another cat from the colony, and they would greet each other by butting heads and rubbing against each other.
Sox was desexed and released back to the street, but the more I got to know him the more I though he deserved better. A safe home of his own where he would be loved. So it was off to foster care to see how he would go living inside. He has now settled in and become a true house cat.
Unfortunately Sox has tested FIV +, which is no surprise as he has had to defend himself on the streets for most of his young life.
What I mean by unfortunately is that this can be a deterrent to him being adopted. It’s no issue for Sox and the vet said he is in excellent health. FIV + cats can live long healthy lives and they can not infect other cats unless it is through a very serious bite. (See more facts in the images below)
Sox’s fighting days are over now and he just wants to be loved.
He’s an 18mth old, medium haired, fluffy tailed boy
He’s located in Eastwood
Sox is special to us at Urban Kittens.
Preference will be given to potential adoptees with indoor only or indoor/outdoor enclosure or safe yard applications. We are happy to discuss this further with you and talk about ways to make your outdoor areas safe for this new bundle of love.
Medical notes
Sox is FIV +
