About Harry
Please meet HARRY, a 3.2 kilo Chihuahua mix born on 1 July 2012.
This sweet and affectionate boy has adapted very well to life in foster care - and his foster mum has fallen hopelessly in love with him. But with eight cats and three dogs of her own, she has resisted the temptation to adopt him.
In the words of Harry's foster mum:
"This little bundle of charm loves his toys and is very playful. A typical Chi, Harry likes to snarl and growl when our games get boisterous, but it's all bluff. He never bites. He gets on well with my big dogs and enjoys playing with them in the backyard. He's an absolute sucker for the cats and, although he'll play-chase them outside, it's all hugs and kisses inside. At night time, he snuggles up with us in bed. We put his little soft bed between us and that's where he stays all night. He's a little timid until he gets to know you, but it didn't take long for him to settle in. Now when I leave the house, he howls for a bit but, according to my neighbour, he soon settles. He's had a couple of "accidents" inside, but it was my fault as I didn't pick up on his cue to go outside for toileting. He does this little tap-dance, which means "I wanna go and I wanna go now". He's an absolute darling and would make a delightful companion."
If you are interested in meeting Harry, the first step is to complete our online application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/
Preference will be given to homes where someone is around most of the time as Harry just loves human company. If you have a cat or a dog - or both - all the better. Harry is very small and is untested with children, so no littlies please. As always, secure fencing is essential.
Harry's adoption fee is $750 and he is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped.
He lives in Forest Lake, Brisbane.
Medical notes
Harry has just had a full dental. Teeth scaled and polished. All incisors and two pre-molars removed. All molars and canines intact. He's well able to eat kibble.
