About Poppy

⚠️ not cat friendly ⚠️
Hi friends my name is poppy ( Dinky Di Sheila)
I am a 3 years old black greyhound that love’s being the centre of attention:
I have not been in a home yet as I am currently at Tafe helping teach students learn about us dogs. I am super smart but am known to be a bit of a class clown, this makes sure I het lots of attention.
I’m not your typical lazy greyhound i have more energy then the lazy boys I live with in the kennels.
I enjoy getting out and about and running, spinning and bouncing around in excitement. This is my favourite part of the day.
I like other dogs but am high energy; silly, fun and excitable for all of 5/10 minutes, then I settle down, i can be a bit in their face but I just want to be best friends with everyone, however this can be to much for some dogs.
I wouldn’t mind living In a place that can give me lots of attention and exercise every day to keep me happy. Ooo I would also like a nice backyard to play in and lots of snack’s, I like food 😋.
In you think I’m pretty snazzy and want a new bestie for Christmas. Please let my friends at BTG know.
I would love to meet you for a play date and snacks.

Adoption details
All BTG greyhounds are Desexed, C5 Vaccinated, Wormed & Heart Worm treated prior to adoption.
They have been fostered for a minimum of 8 weeks to allow maximum training and preparation for home life.
A post adoption trial period of 4 weeks is available to help families decide if the greyhound is the right one for them.
We also offer Foster to Adopt options for those who love the idea of teaching a greyhound in their home with the view to adopt it once it has "graduated" to Home Life status. This is a wonderful experience, to watch it blossom in your own home with your guidance and love. An ideal way to make sure this is the perfect dog for you.
