About Beauregard (Beau)
Beau is the most loving, cuddle-able boy you will ever meet! Beau loves to play, but his almost-favourite thing in the world (after food) is snuggling with his humans and canine siblings. Beau loves everyone he meets (sometimes a bit too much!) and is always happy for scratchies. He even likes getting attention from the vet!
Although he knows basic leash manners, Beau's puppy energy and love of everything means he can become very excitable when walking on the leash. Beau hasn't had a lot of face-to-face interaction with other dogs or people beyond his home due to covid, therefore it is important he has a strong, dog-savvy handler giving him the attention he needs when walking or entering new environments.
Beau loves all things food, and when the treats come out he is the most well-behaved puppy you will ever meet! He loves to learn new tricks (for treats of course!) and although he loves his food he is never defensive around mealtimes. Beau is an indoor and outdoor dog. He is happy to be outside during the day but loves nothing more than to be inside with the family, particularly at night (he sleeps on his own bed inside).
Beau is very friendly around everyone he meets but is still learning not to jump on strangers and therefore would be best suited to a home with no young children. He is a quick learner and knows not to jump on his own human's but new people are just very exciting and Beau is still a puppy! Beau has grown up with a cat and interacts well with him, however he can forget his size when playing so requires supervision as he continues to learn. We feel he would do well if rehomed with a cat if the cat is given a safe space and the introduction is done properly.
Beau gets on well with dogs that he knows and has grown up with two other dogs with no issues. However, upon meeting new dogs he can get very over-excited, which he expresses by barking and lunging at the new dog. Understandably, this can often set other dogs off, and can become an issue if not properly controlled. Because of this, he isn't suited to off-leash dog areas unless he is kept on leash and given time to adjust to the presence of other dogs around him. Beau needs a strong handler when walking who is able to work with him through his excitement.
Beau is alright in the yard when his humans are out working for the day, however he has always had the company of his canine siblings, so he would need time to adjust if he was to be an only dog. Beau would be happy to be rehomed with another dog but a meet and greet and gradual introduction is an absolute must. It is also important that Beau is walked one-on-one with his handler as he is a strong boy and can get excited.
Beau has no medical issues or allergies.

When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of adoption fee. Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
