Hi all,

My name is Zena and I am a sweet shy girl looking to be your loyal companion for life.

I would love a family where I am the center of attention with no other dogs competing for your love. I am definitely more of a people dog so dog parks and busy beaches are not for me. My perfect home would have fencing I can't see through so I'm not worried about passing hustle and bustle and can get enough beauty sleep! As I said, I love my people so my ideal family will be home most of the time.

I would love a quiet/calm household as I can be a little timid and I find some loud noises scary. One of my favourite things to do is play with the hose - I would love somewhere I can feel comfortable to play these games! I really like running around with balls too - having a backyard full of them would be my dream!

I need a house where I can have access to both indoors/outdoors. When I am inside it would really help build my confidence if I have my own bed space e.g. a crate which can be my cosy den to help me relax. While at the shelter, I have experienced a few storms and I find them scary. During storms I would need to be inside with you in a quiet spot to help me to know that I am safe and everything is ok.

I am suited to a family who has had previous dog experience with timid and sometimes fearful dogs. I would love someone that can continue to work on my confidence and slowly show me that the world is a fun place. I need to go home with someone that is able to read my body language and can tell when I am uncomfortable around other dogs and need space from them. I would be best suited to a quiet location with limited traffic and surrounding noises.

A mature household would be perfect for me with no kids under the age of 16 - the quieter the house the better! Mature people is important for me so everyone can recognise when I'm feeling uncomfortable and allow me to avoid attention if I do not initiate it.

I am an active girl that would love walks in quiet areas once I have settled into the home. Did I mention I walk beautifully on a lead? I love food - I admit I can sometimes get a bit too excited over it and be a little snatchy! Oops!
