About Vince
Vince is a charmer, he just loves every body & cant get close enough to you, he actually often likes to sit on your foot, so he has your captive attention!
He is the sweetest, friendliest, most handsome big dog you are ever likely to meet.
Every one who meets him falls under his spell, but unfortunately loving this big guy is not quite enough.
Underneath that handsome exterior is a big scaredy cat.
Vince hates thunderstorms, loud noises & heavy metal music, he also turns to jelly at artillery blasting or any thing else loud & vibrating.
What caused this fear, we dont know, & Vince isn't talking, all we do know is if he is with you he draws comfit & security from your touch & acts like there is nothing wrong.
Therefor who ever adopts Vince must be able to spend most of their time with him (storms or not) as he really does not like being left alone.
Vince is sure to be the best friend & great company for some one who is happy to have a large dog inside the house. He is not a set & forget dog, he needs his people around him & he needs to be included in the family business & day to day living.
When he is in a panic & he is by himself he can jump a 6 foot fence with ease, but when he is just hanging out, he doesn't bother, he would much rather be with his family.
We are working to desensitise Vince to thunderstorms (his nemesis) but have a way to go yet.
If some one could take the time to know & understand this fellow, not put him in the "to hard basket", they would never ever be sorry.
Vince is a delight!
Adoption details
If you would like to adopt a country pet there are a few requirements.
A chat with the foster carer is the first step to determine if the pet is the right one for you and your lifrstyle. A yard check while having a meet and greet is the next step and if all is satisfactory for all parties the adoption can go ahead.
The perfect home for each individual pet is essential, and the decision about which new home the pet goes to is made by the foster carer.
