Chachi is a high energy boy with lots of mischief and affection to give. He is very vocal and has a lot to say in a husky way to his humans and dog companions. Highly social with dogs and people, he sees everyone as an opportunity for play and pats. Chachi comes with his own Instagram account @runningwithchachi from where he has built up a community of lovely people who take him for runs. They all report that he is a brilliant running companion. He runs loosely at the side in a halti, at any pace you choose. When he gets home he still wants to play and wrestle with his dog companions.
Chachi has been living very happily with a carer in a household with 2 confident dogs who don't let him dominate them. This household has also had a rotation of puppies and dogs of various ages and sizes which Chachi welcomes with gusto. Chachi is brilliant at matching his play to the other dogs size or ability. Chachi does have a few flaws we should mention though:- He will be anxious when left alone WITHOUT another dog to keep him company. He will snatch toys and treats from other dogs if he can. It doesn't lead to fights - it's just rude. He will growl if dogs come near his food - he would just rather be alone to eat. He wont be caught by you if you want to tell him off for clearing the bench, or snatching a toy. He is extremely anxious at the vet and will need to be muzzled and harnessed well.
He likes to burrow under your bed covers. He is super smart and likes to outsmart you where he can. He talks back when you air your complaints about him. When he's excited he will bounce around the loungeroom, leapfrogging people and couches. He's extremely agile. Please don't expect that you will easily be able to train him to your will. We expect that it wont happen till he is fully matured. He must have another dog companion which will mean you can leave him at home without humans.
His foster carers love him so much and would keep him but they couldn't do that and keep fostering. His foster carers love him so much and would keep him but they couldn't do that and keep fostering.
