About Tangy
Hi, my name is Tangy
I was returned from my first home nearly three months ago now. I lived in my new home from when I left the dog lady of Yuendumu’s care at 4 months old until I was about 10 months old.

I was a really happy relaxed puppy but when I was returned at 10 months old.
I had become extremely nervous, anxious, and very dog reactive.
I had not received any training. There was no direction in the house so I didn't know what I should or shouldn't do.
I was expected to be off the lead with any other dog without even knowing how to walk on a lead.
I was also very scared to go into the car.
So my foster carers have had to give me one-on-one help every day for several months for me to start learning how to behave so that I am a happier dog and can find a forever home.
Since then my foster carers have helped me learn to walk on the lead and enjoy going in the car.
I found it very hard to relax, settle and was quite hyperactive but now I am learning to concentrate and follow directions.
I have learned to spend short lengths of time alone and sleep in my own bed.
I am very affectionate, keen to please, and intelligent.
I love my toys and balls and investigating my yard.
Even though I have short legs I have a medium-sized body and weigh about 20kg.
So I am too big to be walked by children or the elderly
I am not suited to living with cats, pocket pets, or other small animals.
So I’ll need a quiet home that has experience living with dogs with behavioural issues. Also has the time to be very consistent and attentive with my training.
I am not suited to a home with very young children or multiple people.
I love going for walks and adventures but I have a while to go before I can be let off at a dog park.
It is very important that my new home understand what I need so that I become an easier dog to manage and they enjoy having me in their home.
If you’d like to meet me I’m staying in Coburg or sometimes out in the country in Mirboo north.
I am desexed, vaccinated and parasite treated.
