About Happy
If you are interested in Happy or any of our Greyhounds then please fill in our adoption form; https://www.hounds-in-homes.com/adoptionform
Happy in name and nature. Happy has the most gorgeous smile that could melt even the coldest heart. Happy is a 4.5 year old female greyhound. A gentle, calm and observant lady who is happy to be wherever you are. She loves her walkies around the neighbourhood but is still coming out of her shell so can cower when a stranger pats her. Her confidence will grow as she adjusts to life on the lounge.
Happy enjoys the company of the resident kids and the other dogs in the home. She shows a preference for females but we have strategies to help with bonding for any males in the house that becomes her home.
Happy walks beautifully on the lead and is learning to come when called. She is crate trained and house trained and doesn’t jump up on the lounge without an invitation. Happy has happily ignored cats while on walks but is untested with them. She is curious but cautious when a resident chicken escapes their pen but has shown no interest in them when they are on their side of the fence.
Happy doesn’t resource guard and happily shares her foster home with three other dogs. They quite often swap beds and they like to play with each other. Happy’s playful side is starting to show and we can see that while it will take time for her to feel truly comfortable in her forever home, when she does, she will keep her forever family amused with her good nature and playfulness.
Happy is just starting to show a few teeth chatters and when comfortable, does the greyhound lean. Happy will make a very devoted family member to the people who show her love, patience and affection.
