About Bobby
Bobby came to us as his owner had received a threat from a neighbour due to his dog barking at the neighbour's cows. The recommendation from another well known group was to put Bobby down. What was not recognised was that Bobby is an anxious dog and was scared of the cows so barked at them to go away. Bobby needs some remedial work on his anxiety so he is less scared of new things and experiences. He is a lovely friendly dog, very dependent on human presence and good with children and other dogs. He has a sweet nature, friendly, smart, playful and active. He just needs a home where there is someone around most of the time with high fences as he will get out to find you not to run away and explore just to find you and be with you.
Adoption details
HappyPaws Haven is fussy about who adopts these animals and where they are housed and cared for. The adoption criteria is documented as a questionnaire and strictly adhered to. We do not adopt animals to people who rent unless they are long term rental at the same address and have landlords written permission.
We ask if they have thought about the attributes they want in a dog, lifestyle, childrens ages, prepared to train, etc. We also talk about responsible pet ownership, fully fenced yards, hours unattended etc. and finally a vet reference.
