About Busta
Blue Heeler x Mastiff 35kg
Big Loveable and goofy
Busta has a happy, easy going demeanour. He loves all the pats but especially belly rubs and head scratches. He likes to follow you around the house and be included in everything you are doing. Busta loves cuddles and licking you. He is an energetic boy but does have his quiet moments. After his walks in the morning, he will usually sleep for most of the day, aside from a few play sessions. He likes having indoor/outdoor access to enjoy his day how he wants, but usually wants to be near his humans. He is also fine to be left outside by himself, he occasionally barks back at other dogs that are barking. He likes to explore the backyard and roll in the grass, so a backyard is a must for him. He is pretty chilled being outside but will have his moments of ripping up his bed but other than that has showed no other destructive behaviour. He does bark when people are at the door and when first meeting new people he can be a bit hesitant, but after a few treats he warms up quickly and wants to play. :. When Busta is reved up he will steal things like shoes or the blankets from his beds, but he listens to no and will drop the item. When he is calm, Busta is very well behaved inside. Busta does jump up ( Pretty gentle ) when playing or when you have something interesting in your hand. We have been working on reducing this, but he still needs some work. He also sometimes runs straight into you unintentionally around the backyard only because heâs a goofball. Due to this we will be looking for an adult only home or a family with older teenagers.
Busta should not be left inside alone as he will get into mischief so outside for when your not home.
Busta is a bit of a social butterfly. When he sees another dog he can bark and whine to go over to say hello and if you donât let him he will plonk himself down and not move lol but this is not all the time, as he will keep walking past most dogs. Busta loves to play. When he first meets a new pal get he can get a bit excited and want to play, forgetting his size. He is always wagging his tail to say Hi but if a dog is reactive to him he will react back so better socialised with dogs he becomes familiar with in small groups. . He loves to hang out with his pals on the couch and sleep the day away .
Busta loves toys. He likes rope and rubber chew toys; they need to be strong as he likes to chew them. He likes to play tug of war and for you to chase him around the backyard while he holds a toy. He does an adorable play bow with his tail wagging like mad. Once heâs finished running around, he likes to lie in the sun and chew his toys.
Busta is a big water baby and absolutely loves the shell pool which he will sit in a couple of times a day to cool off. He is also a fan of mud, . We would love him rehomed near the beach where he can have access to water for play.
Busta LOVES his walks, he knows soon as you get his lead out what it means and will run around with excitement but then sits to have his harness on. He enjoys on a 1 ½ - 2 hour walk every day to burn off his energy. He walks well on lead but does like to zig zag in front of you and is best on a long lead.. He does occasionally pull when wanting to smell something very interesting or when he sees another dog but is usually easily distracted and continues walking. He sometimes barks when wanting to meet other dogs, but this is due to excitement and is not aggressive at all. Busta doesnât mind walking pass strangers but he doesnât like it when they pay attention to him and he doesnât like strangers patting him. He can be a bit vocal about that but not aggressive.
Busta needs a nice big size yard tro play and a doggy pool would just make his life complete
