About Hagrid
Hagrid is an active, playful and fun loving Kelpie x Boarder Collie who loves nothing more than a game of soccer with his humans. He thrives on chasing the soccer ball and is able to jump up in the air and return the high balls to his humans using his mouth to propel the ball. He has also made a solid jogging and hiking partner and loves to cool down by sinking into a shallow water way or by chasing the water spray from the hose. He is an excellent passenger in the car so is easily taken on car trips which he loves.
Hagrid decided that working live stock was not for him and so the decision was eventually made to re home him. Sadly for Hagrid he has spent the majority of his life chained up and as a result can display some unsocial and defensive behaviours towards other dogs by growling or snapping at them if they get up in his face. He has been introduced to a calm dog who gave him his space and he reacted well to her. To avoid any mishaps Hagrid would be best homed as an only dog without very young children.
At 5 years of age there will be no puppy messes or destructive behaviour to worry about provided he is exercised daily. He is happy to be in the back yard during the day or to lay on his bed inside with his humans.
This lovely boy really deserves a second chance at a good life. So if you’re looking for a dog who will make you laugh and have you reaching for the camera to capture those athletic leaps Hagrid is the one!
Hagrid comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea treated and wormed. Adoption fee does not include local council registration.
Hagrid is located in Canberra
