About Melba and Gemma
Please meet mother and daughter duo, Melba (3.5 years) and Gemma (3 years). They are gentle souls who are very quiet and love a cuddle. Mum Melba (with the white patch) is the braver of the two and is first out for food and treats. Gemma is more shy, but in time can be coaxed out with some treats.
Melba and Gemma must be adopted together as they are a bonded pair. They sit very well on laps and are lovely and calm, and would suit a family of any age.
Adoption details
Qld Guinea Pig Refuge holds open days at the Albany Creek Scout Den in North Brisbane on the first and third Saturday of each month. All adoptions require pre-approval and your application form should be submitted for processing at least two days prior.
The adoption fee for our guinea pigs is $25 each. Desexed guinea pigs are $35 each. They come fully health checked; worm and mite treated; and have been living at their foster carer’s house where they receive handling time.
