About Lennon
Meet Lennon!
This people pleaser is ready to find his new people. He is affectionate and he will rub himself all over you to show you how much he loves you. He would love to have a couch buddy to binge on Netflix. When he is not snoozing the day away, he loves to run. Stretching his legs in a true zoomie style.
When he came into care, he was quite a shutdown dog. After progressing in foster care, we thought it was best to have a boot camp with a professional to bring out his best self.
He was hesitant of dogs and preferred to ignore and avoid - “If I can’t see you then you’re not there type of attitude.” He is now in a pack of dogs and learning to enjoy doggy company and learn how to play, and interact. His play style is that of a submissive puppy, whereby he does 360's to try & entice play. Although he is dog social, we do not believe he should be taken into a dog park situation at this stage. He has progressed a lot and we do not want a negative experience to lose his confidence.
Lennon was very wary of surprises and sudden movements, bikes and loud noises would startle him. He has done lots of counter conditioning with the trainer, to teach him there is nothing to be scared of and he has been progressing very well.
Lennon is easy to walk and wants to learn. He would benefit with continued training in formal group dog training. This will help the bond between him and the new owner and to continue growing his confidence and exposure. Lennon is crate trained and house trained.
We are looking for a home with no children, so he can still have a quiet lifestyle. Lennon will need a suburban style home, not in the busy city. If you have a dog at home, it needs to be the right match. A confident, stable dog may suit. Lennon does not require another dog at home and is okay alone for appropriate amounts of time. His owners need to be confident handlers that he can take leadership and guidance from. He is happy meeting new people and shows his good heart quickly, in order to get attention.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
