Hi peoples. I am Mudbud, a happy, affectionate, couch-sleeping buddy. I love company and want to be with you as much as possible, so you need to be at home a lot or take me with you. The more people around the better. And another dog to be with would be excellent.

When I’m left home alone I search the house and check the windows to see if I can see you, then after about 20-30 minutes I settle down on the couch to wait for you. I am house-trained and use the doggy door to go outside when I need to go.

When I have been alone, I get so happy to see you my tail takes on a life of its own, which can hurt legs that get in the way, and bleeds a bit when I hit it against door frames. I also try to jump up when I’m excited.

I’m fine with kids, and smaller children are just the right height for a good face-lick and unintentional tail-whip – so a household with bigger kids is probably better. (Apparently good with cats, but not been tested with cats or other small pets while in care.)

When we go for walks I pull a lot and lunge to greet other dogs because I am so happy to see them. So, you need to be strong and we need a lot of training together. If I can, I love to run around and play with other dogs, but I don’t understand why people throw things and want us to fetch, I’d rather wrestle or cuddle and lick you to death.

I’m a good boy and do my best to understand what you want from me as long as I can be near you.

In the evenings I love sleeping on the couch with you and I happily stay there when you go to your bed. You just need to remind me I’m not sleeping with you. I also love a sunny spot in the garden to lie in.
