My name is Jedda and I am a sweet girl who loves nothing more than playing with my foster brother and cuddling up on the couch with my humans. I love belly rubs, splashing my feet in the shell pool and am learning to play with toys. I have been slowly introduced to the two resident cats and I like to sniff them. My tail wags when I sniff them but my foster mum keeps me on a lead when the cats are around just to make sure I am completely ok with them.
I grew up with little exposure to the big wide world so can be a little timid, especially when meeting new people and going to new places. Sometimes I bark at strangers but do eventually calm down when my foster mum reassures me. I rely on my foster brother quite a bit to build my confidence so I would really love another brother or sister to play with. I have dug a couple of holes in the backyard but I overheard my foster mum saying I am an angel inside and haven't destroyed anything even when I sleep in the lounge by myself overnight (unlike my naughty Labrador fur sibling who sometimes tries to chew books from the bookcase and steal food from the counter!)
I am very smart and willing to please and have learned to sit very quickly. I am keen to learn more commands and am currently learning to walk on a lead. Iām doing well but need a bit more practice. When mum says āNoā or āuh uhā I know what she means, and I listen. When I am in an unfamiliar environment without my humans or foster brother, I can get a bit anxious so would prefer a home where my humans are around a fair bit or where I am at least with my fur sibling. I sleep well through the night inside but sometimes bark when I hear things outside because I like to protect my family. Iām a sweet girl who just wants to please and have my tummy rubbed. I might take some time to feel comfortable in my new home but with some patience, love and further exposure to the world Iāll feel safe and be a loyal, loving family member whoāll give you lots of love and snuggles.
Jedda is toilet trained, has had no accidents inside and takes herself outside to toilet through the dog door.
