About Astro
Hi Friends, the name is Astro.
I’m a VERY VERY shy boy at first and it takes a good couple of weeks for me to come out of my shell.
As I get more comfortable you could say that you unlock certain parts of my very cute, adorable and playful personality.
Once I’m comfortable I absolutely love a snuggle on the couch or in bed. My speciality is being the little spoon.
I am safe around children however, I would prefer a house with older children. Toddlers/babies make me anxious as they are very loud and loud noises still scare me a little. (However I’m ok with vacuum cleaners, lawnmowers etc).
I would prefer a house with other small dogs. Once I open up my personality, I LOVE playing and running!
Now to get to the real stuff. I must tell you that I have some separation anxiety. This seems to get better the more I’m in the house and again the more I become comfortable around my humans. I need a human who is very patient and has the time to help/train me so I can overcome this all together.
Foster mum said I’m a very smart boy so she has no trouble believing that a person who has the time and patience will help me overcome my separation anxiety very quickly.
I am toilet trained but under stress (when left alone) will have accidents in the house but I am getting better. I’m a pro at the doggy door!
So if you’d love a snuggly playful boy who just need a little TLC, I may just be the boy for you!
Medical notes
13 month old Astro is a healthy young boy. He’s been desexed and had a dental where one fractured deciduous tooth was removed.
He does have a condition in his front legs known as carpal valgus where the legs turn outward slightly and with age, arthritis can become an issue so we would recommend starting on a joint support supplement such as Osteocare.
Astro is up to date with his vaccination, flea, tick, intestinal worm and heart worm prevention. He is also microchipped.
