About Stella
Hello potential new family!
My name is Stella and I am an English mastiff x Tibetan Spaniel. Yep I’ll repeat that cause it’s a bit of a weird mix – I am a English Mastiff x Tibetan Spaniel – my foster mum says I’m perfect – I ‘m a big breed dog on short fat stumpy legs!
My dad (Pepe) and I came into care a few weeks back and we have had a ball in care learning to be dogs and doing dogs things.
So I now know that dog things include being part of a family, sleeping on a dog bed in the house, playing with other dogs.
My foster mum says I am just amazing I am the best of both worlds she says – I have the big breed bark when I need it but I’m knee height so still that small breed dog if you need. I weight 19.1kgs (I know I know a lady is never supposed to discuss but just think that is still a good small size!)
My favorite thing in life is loving my humans, getting pats and cuddles and giving them. I love spending time in my foster mum’s office while she works – I just snooze.
I love going outside with you and walking around, I’m good company if you want to garden, or just sit outside and read a book.
Unfortunately i did have some meet and greets and even meet a lovely family that came to visit me and see how lovely I am and wanting to adopt me - unfortunately they did not tell the rescue that they had another dog at the home and it did not go well when meeting each other and I was returned to the rescue.
I know its really confusing to read this - my foster mum says I'm a confusing little girl as i am currently in foster care with 8 other dogs! Another dog came into the house and i did not like him at all so he couldn't stay here, but then another dog came into the home and i was fine with her - yep I tell you I am a mixture of confusion!
I am also reactive meeting other dogs on leads and can be reactive to them if out walking
My foster mum believes that I would be best as an only dog in the home and not be taken to dog parks etc.
But the good news is, I am super good around kids as well as I love a good head scratch - I have amazing manners when around them.
Mum says I would NOT be any good with cats (my bad sorry)
My foster mum says I'm a delight to have and one of the kindest sweetest natures she has even seen.
Since being with my foster family I have learnt that there are some awesome things in life - like sleeping in the house on a dog bed, I sleep near my foster mum in her room, I would like that or in one of the kids bedrooms, I’m very very well behaved.
I would ideally like a home where there is someone home (shift work, retired, works from home, stay home mum or dad) I’m not fussy just someone I can hang with thru the day – I would be a great secretary sleeping in your office while you work even.
I am fully house trained and leave your belongings alone and don’t keep the neighbors up barking, I guess you could say I’m pretty chilled.
If you think you could make me part of your family & are interested in applying to adopt me, please send thru an adoption application.
** Please note applications will close Monday 6th December 2021 at 5.30pm

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 2 week trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
