About Polly ~ 1.5yr Old Kelpie X( On Trial 8/1/22)
Meet Polly a 18 month old, friendly, playful, inquisitive and affectionate Kelpie x.
Polly loves being around her humans and is a very sweet girl. She loves her walks and is happy to amuse herself with her toys or lay on the lounge with you.
While Polly was initially a little cautious as the result of the recent upheaval in her life she is now settled and relaxed and is looking for a family who will include her in all family activities. Polly would best suit a home where her humans work part-time or from home so they are around more often than not.
Polly has got her basic training well underway and is looking for active humans who are experienced with the breed, will give her structure and will continue her training to keep her brain engaged. She is eager to please and gets nervous if she thinks she’s done something wrong. Her forever family need to be committed to continuing her training and understand that she will need exercise and mental stimulation.
Polly hasn’t had much exposure being on the lead or the outside world. She will need further training around this. Polly can get nervous around anything with wheels and isn’t a big fan of bikes, prams or scooters. We feel with further training Polly will overcome this if the right person can give her time and patience
Polly will need to be an only dog and at this stage is best suited to a family with older children as she does have a tendency to jump when excited or an active single/couple who will give her a huge amount of attention, training and exercise. Polly is not suited to a house with a cat.
If you think this gorgeous girl may be the one for you, please submit an adoption questionnaire at https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt or contact Sam at samantha.jane.drn@gmail.com
Polly is in foster care in Carrington, NSW and is not available for adoption interstate. Polly’s adoption fee is $500 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
