Angel - Located in Templestowe

Well, it’s no surprise that my name is Angel. My white coat matches my calm and quiet personality. I love head scratches, and side rubs makes me flop over in pleasure. I love being close to my companion and will happily sit on laps or snuggle into your chest. I can be playful and affectionate once I am settled in and feeling confident.

I am a simple cat. I am surrounded by countless toys, but I am content with short daily interactions with you where I spend a little energy chasing after a wand toy. If I feel overstimulated or under-stimulated, I might communicate this to you by giving you a little warning meow, nibble or gnaw at your feet. Please respect my boundaries and read my body language when I am seeking attention. My favourite past time include wandering and exploring my living space, looking out windows and napping with my companion.

I can be anxious during my transitional period and need some medication to ease my anxiety. However, once I settle in and build a strong rapport with you, I can be weaned off my medication. Building trust with me is the key to bringing out my charms. With patience, love and delicious treats, I will learn to gain confidence around you and loaf nearby to keep you company. You will know I feel comfortable with you, when I purr loudly, chirp at you, greet you at the door and sit in close proximity to you.

I am a well trained cat, I use the kitty litter very well; I know how to use a scratching pole and cardboard scratcher (though I might need reminders and redirection while I settle in to a new home). I am slightly anxious during transitional periods, and will fare best with a patient person who lives on their own in a small place. I seem to prefer female human companions and I am unlikely to enjoy the company of other cats.

Before applying to meet one of our cats, please ensure that
- you have the agreement of all members of the household to adopt a Cat
- you have your landlords permission to keep a pet. More information on what to do is available at https://www.consumer.vic.gov.au/housing/renting/applying-for-a-rental-property-or-room/pets-and-renting
- you have all the necessary bits and pieces to welcome your new family member, starting with a cat carrier to bring them home, a litter tray, litter, food and bowls as well as a bed, toys and scratchers
- you are ready to welcome them home NOW. We are unable to hold a cat for you if you are not ready to adopt.
