About Honey
Honey is a 5-and-a-half year old female Australian Bulldog currently fostered at Richmond NSW.
Honey is booty-licious with bundles of sass and personality. She likes her humans around most of the time and wouldn't suit full-time workers unless they mostly work from home.
Honey is a clever girl who loves to 'talk' / communicate, she lets you know if she is excited wants something or isn't happy. Snoozing in the company of her humans is one of her favourite past-times, Honey also loves to go for a walk - but that's off the cards in the short-term due to an injury that needs surgery and a recovery period.
Honey likes to be the queen of her castle and needs a new home without existing pets. She has been great with kids while in foster care and would enjoy being part of a family or if grandkids visit.
Honey is looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home in the Sydney area. Please submit an adoption application minisbulldogrescue.com/apply
Medical notes
Honey is very much an inside dog, she has allergies (mainly to freshly cut grass) that affect her skin and eyes, this needs lifelong management.
Honey has ruptured her canine cruciate ligament. Once settled in a new home, we need to get her specialist surgery (TPLO) to fix this. There will be a recovery period of a few months where Honey will need to be kept very quiet and then building up a little bit of activity at a time according to the specialist recovery plan. SASH North Ryde or VSOS at Miranda are the specialist hospitals MBRC uses.
Since coming into the care of the rescue, Honey has been spayed, BOAS (airway) surgery, surgery in her lady parts to reduce excess skin that was causing irritation and treatment for skin issues.
