Kobi

Kobi is a beautiful shy big long haired German shepherd currenlty on the look out for his perfect match in life.

Kobi is seeking a home that is experienced in owning & handling German shepherds & who understand their quirky & vocal personality.

Kobi has had no dramas living in foster care with multiple other medium sized dogs & has shown some playful behaviour at times but also happy to chill on his own, so he is happy to consider both only dog homes or multi dog homes.

Once he is comfortable he has a very playful, loving, affectionate nature & can be vocal when playing with other dogs or playing with his favourite toys, Balls.
He loves water & loves swimming in the dams.
Typical German shepherd he’s not everyone's best friend instantly & requires to take some time to get to know you before getting comfortable.

We are seeking a farm life for Kobi due his training requirements & over arousal behaviour towards other dogs on leash. He just doesn't seem to suit town living.

Training requirements-
Kobi like any German shepherd, will thrive on regular training & discipline.

He lacks impulse control & leash manners.
He can be strong on leash and vocal when he sees other dogs on leash, so requires a dedicated home to train his loose leash walking and teach him to disengage from his environment. We highly recommend using a head halti during the training phase to maintain control.

Being a long coated breed daily brushing is a MUST to keep that gorgeous coat maintained & mat free. Good thing Kobi enjoys being brushed so this will not be a hard task, especially behind his ears which are very common spots for getting matted up.

Kobi has shown reserved but friendly behaviour towards the few new people he has met and is probably better in a home with older kids because of his size.

If you think you can dedicate your time to training Kobi to be the best version of himself & teach him how to fit into your family life style then you will receive a magnificent & loyal companion for life. Kobi is not the sort of dog you can just trial out, he needs a home who can commit to him & understand bonding & training is a slow process & isn't going to magically happen in a few days.
