About Bronson
Bronson – the beautiful giant ‘lap dog’
If you ask him he would say he’s the perfect size to cuddle up on your lap. Love has no weight limit!
Bronson is an absolute sweetheart who loves people and will follow you to every room (including the bathroom). He is very cheeky and loves to play with his toys, or even tear into a simple cardboard box if you need a hand with the recycling. He loves attention, but is also happy just to sit quietly by your side, as long as he’s included in the family. Bronson will need some work on socialisation, but has shown playfulness and interest in other dogs. Bronson has not been tested with cats.
Bronson would be suited in a home where he’s number one. A home that gets good sun is important to Bronson as he likes to spend his days napping in the warmest sunniest spot. He will need work on walking as he sadly hasn’t been out much in his 7 years and can be overwhelmed by too many new noises. He has shown great progress in foster care, adapting to a whole new world of sounds very quickly. Bronson will benefit from further training in this area.
He knows basic commands and knows to sit for food, but will choose to ignore you if he thinks he can get away with it. Treat motivated, especially with cheese, so with some work will be a superstar! He is happy to be left at home alone, no signs of separation anxiety, as long as he has somewhere cosy to sleep.
Bronson has shown great results with a set routine, so it’s important his new family can maintain this for his wellbeing. He would be suited to a family with older experienced children and a strong handler for walking, due to his size. Bronson is house trained.
Medical notes
Bronson had a facial tumour removed while in our care. The surgery was successful and the vets are confident he will be ok, however there are no guarantees.
