About Gordie
Hi I’m Gordie, I am a gorgeous 1 year and 2 month old Jack Russell Terrier
I would love to have a life where someone is home more often than not, retired or works from home so I can hang when I want, I love keeping my humans company and at the end of the day having a good cuddle on the couch.
Thru the day I’m having to hang out inside with you, access to outside thru a doggy door would be awesome, I am toilet trained Thru the day I would be happy for you to stop what you’re doing anytime you want and give me lots of tummy rubs, and some treats. A squeaky toy playtime is always a good idea and the highlight of my day is playing a game of fetch!
I am what you call an ‘all-in guy’ – happy to participate in all activities with the family – walks, playing at the beach or having a lazy day watching Netflix – count me in – I will be there!
While I said I loved going for walks, a small little confession – I still need some lead training but that is something we can do together – I still get the whole concept of walking.
I am dog friendly but not tested with cats.
I am currently in care with another small breed dog and i really do enjoy the company - ideally my new home will have another small breed dog for company for me.
Kids - I like kids but I am not comfortable with them trying to pick me up or the squealing.
I do love a good set of stairs for the couch or the bed – so fingers crossed my new home has these.
I can jump up on the couch and happily sit on your lap anytime of the day or night.
I am a young guy who has learnt to enjoy the luxury of an indoor life and have great indoor manners.
I do like to spend some time outside doing my thing so I would like to have the best of both worlds - inside and outside access when I want.

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
We can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/pawprintscanine/
Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 2 week trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
