About Jedda
My name is Jedda and I’m a gorgeous 10 year old red and tan kelpie who spends most of the day wearing a big doggie grin.
I’m the ideal companion for a person/couple who are around a bit because I love being involved in what my humans are up to and enjoy making friends everywhere I go. In foster care I’ve been everything from the perfect work colleague in the office, workshop supervisor and coffee companion. I like heading out in the car and walk really well with both a harness and collar.
I sit, am toilet trained, happily sleep in a crate, use a dog door, have excellent recall and am very gentle with my food. I will wait for you to give the ok before heading inside and eating. Don’t let my age and my love of a snooze in the sun fool you – I still enjoy a run around the yard and exploring on walks, but dog parks and off leash areas are definitely NOT for me.
I haven’t been fazed by the resident chickens and magpies in my foster home but I still get a bit excited by the horses sometimes. As far as my foster siblings go, I like all the attention on me. At my age I think I’ve earned all the pats, so my new family shouldn’t have any other dogs or cats. I didn’t enjoy my hips being manipulated by the vet when I visited so we did some checks and I’m physically ok but because I am uncomfortable with it my new family will need to work with their vet in the lead up to any examinations. For this reason, it’s important that I am also in a home without children.
Likes: pats, time in the sun with you, car rides and checking out what you’re up to
Dislikes: other dogs (no competition for attention thanks!) and having the vet around my back end
If I sound like the dog for you, please apply!

Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. A meet and greet can be arranged if both parties wish to proceed, and we also offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
