Special home needed for Thumper the blonde bombshell !
Thumper the blonde bombshell is the most loving, affectionate, bouncy, playful, master at fetch, Hussein bolt like speed and a best friend for life - everything that you wish for this boy has! Once he is comfortable and trusts.
Thumper is one of the most special dogs I have ever had the pleasure of fostering. he is kind, loving, will bring you his ball to play, fetches, scored 100% on all meet and greets with fur friends and loves to run and run and run.
However, there are some quirks. Thumper is an anxious fella. He has wobbly legs, it appears he has no awareness of his right side possibly a stroke or some other trauma, however all scans have come back clear and his last to visits to the osteo have shown improvement in his posture, with his carers current walking, playing, nightly massages.
Thumper initially struggled to walk on lead its taken 3 weeks to finally get him to walk not because he doesn't know how, he has anxiety. Sometimes he will just stop mid walk, slowly sit and stares into space a little encouragement will get him up and going again, but this quirk is slowly disappearing. He initially pulls at the start of a walk and then eventually settles into a nice rhythm loves walking in a pack so a fur sibling is a must for this guy he has come so far and I think he is a little disappointed that his chauffeur driven days to the doggy park are over..
Although it appears he has these blacklegs that have a mind of their own, he is in no pain at all, loves his nightly massages by his foster carer, he is a very active boy if he does not get his few hours of running and playing he is restless in the night and you will have some serious complaining in the evening.
He sleeps with his foster brother in the evening and like clockwork around 7am, will let you know he needs go out side, usually followed by breakfast and demands of a walk.
Thumper needs an all inclusive home - he does not like to be excluded, he is well behaved in the home as long has he has access to outside to do his business
he definitely needs a fur sibling - he has thrived and confidence has grown since being able to engage with his own people.
He needs an active family - who will take him out and continue to expose him to everyday life, play fetch, run with him and just give him his best life
He will need a patient family also. sometimes he slips back into anxious Thumper on a walk and in the car so a family that can reassure him everything is ok and he is safe.
