About Dexter
Oh darling Dexter.
The sweetest little old man you'll ever find. Look at that handsome face, those wise and kind eyes. Don't you just want to hug him??
He would love that 🙂
Dexter is pooch perfection. He loves everyone. He's friendly with kids of all ages and, as you can see, even tolerates being involved in dress ups.
He likes the company of other dogs and has been around cats without incident.
At 13 years old, Dexter is very much in his mature years but we want the rest of his life to be just perfect.
Ideally he would like a home where someone is home most of the time so he can get the most out of spending time with the people he loves.
Dexter still likes a cruise-y walk each day so he can enjoy the sun, stretch his legs and check his pee-mail. He still has the energy to run around and stretch his legs, but also loves to curl up on your lap or right beside you on the couch.
We can't wait to find Dexter's perfect new family. Could that be you?
Please tell us as much as you can about your home and family in your enquiry.
Dexter is desexed microchipped and vaccinated. He has recently had a complete blood test which had excellent results for a mature dog. He is in great health and will hopefully have several more years of life. His adoption fee is $250.
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view one of our lovely animals. We love them all and we hope you will too.
If you would like to know more about an animal please email us at avonvalley@safe.org.au. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
