About Charlie
On Oct 24, 2021 13:43 submitted:
Hello, my name is Charlie. I have heard that name before, you say. Well yes you have. Some weeks ago when I came into the care of Happy Tails I was not in very good shape. In fact, part of my insides were on the outside of my body. Happy tails had taken on quite a few not too well furry friends about then, and they knew I needed medical assistance urgently. Well they set about seeking donations to enable this to happen as soon as possible. Thanks to their very generous supporters I was able to have this surgery almost immediately. Unfortunately the first bout was just the beginning and a few short days later I had to have a second and much bigger operation. Happy Tails were very concerned for me as this surgery was quite a big one. I was kept at the vet surgery for quite a few days as I recovered from this surgery. This was when I met my first Happy Tails Carer. She works at the Surgery and took special care of me, and it could be said that I lapped up all the attention with gusto. Then the big day came when I was transported to Brisbane and to a new foster home. At this home I was not the only cat or even animal. There are cats, kittens and even dogs. I had to share my carer with them all. I decided that to get my share of the love, I would be the best cat that I could be, and immediately set about to look after the little guys. I played with them for hours until they curled up fast asleep. Then I would seek out my Carer and get endless amounts of attention. I just love human interaction. I had to have a special diet after my last operation but I have now been declared completely fit again, and now can enjoy just what food and treats all the other cats are having. I like it here, but in order to make room for another animal in need, I am prepared to seek a Family of my own. I am looking for a Family who will give me lots of attention as I like to know just what is going on around me. I spend a lot of time on just my back two legs which enables me to see higher up. I do not climb up on the kitchen bench to see, but will happily stand next to you looking up. My foster mum thinks I am adorable, in fact I heard her say to someone that I was "drop dead georgeous" whatever that means. I will happily fit in with your other furry kids or even just be your one and only fur baby. Easy going is my motto. Oh, and also, as I am only young at 1 year, I still like toys, especially interactive ones, so if you could provide me with a couple of those that would be super cool.
