Lucy On Hold

Lucy is a special needs puppy. She came into care with a head wound that will probably leave her with a scar. Although this is healed she has a fear of bouncing and large dogs and puppies. Lucy needs a home where she will be socialised still with nice gentle dogs to keep rebuilding this confidence but it doesn't take much to send her back to the cowering frightened puppy. Even a loud stern voice can have her reeling. Desptie this she is a nornal puppy. She loves to pounce on and play with and nibble on and sleep with dog friendly cats. She is also a thief. She lives mostly indoors and is still trying to master the toilet training iidea. Lucy has selective deafness and is very busy, usualy stealing your clothes from the bedroom or the laundry basket, she also steals other dogs toys, pens, kids toys and anything else she wants and takes them to her day bed in the loungeroom by the window that she likes to look out of and check on her cats!
lucy also likes to sleep in her masters bedroom in a large mesh crate that has comfy blankets and a couple of select betime toys in. She loves it to be covered from draughts at night as well. Lucy will sleep in here from about 10 pm til 6am usually with no fuss unless she is busting to toilet. Lucy will follow you off lead but has not been placed on a lead as she is really irritated by a collar. We are working on this. As lucy is a busy puppy she will need puppy school and obedience classes, and food and toys are her trigger as well as a pet from you if she chooses. Lucy is a puppy that will do best to not be left alone for long periods of time and although she loves children her teeth are like needles and smaller children with their play and antics and shrill voices will possibly frighten or stress her. Lucy has a lot to offer the right home and with time and perserverance you will have a really cool and entertaining dog.
