ABOUT
Desiree. Desi. D. Mumma. Whatever you call her she doesn't mind, as long as you're giving her the attention she craves she's happy (just please talk nicely, she can tell if she's being teased 😉).
Desiree has recently said goodbye to her final little baby and is now enjoying finding herself. She is quiet as a mouse, calm, sweet and a wonderful companion. She will accompany you to the bathroom and she's a fantastic food prep supervisor (but not overly demanding of food). If you're late for her dinner she will sweetly let you know by hugging your ankles, and maybe letting out a rare meow if she's especially starving, whilst guiding you towardsher bowl.
Desiree has been living with an adult male cat and an aging dog and has settled in nicely with them over time. She plays chasey and pouncey with her kitty friend and doesn't mind the dog's presence either. It has taken time and patience to get her to this point but it's definitely possible for her to live with friendly others if introductions are done correctly. And she has had no issues living with an enthusiastic toddler, she has wonderful patience.
There are strong suspicions that Desi has at least a bit of British Shorthair in her as her personality definitely seems to fit the breed, as does as her overall appearance. She is a loving loyal companion, placid and easy going. Plus she has the characteristic face and body shape and beautiful big eyes. Breed doesn't matter really, but it does explain a few things. It's pretty special to get a British in rescue though, regardless her forever home is going to be very lucky.
