About Hunter
My name is Hunter, and my fearsome name matches my skill at catching the flying feathers. That's where the similarity ends as I am easily startled and very shy.
My brother and I were born with eyelid agenesis - we were rescued by the lovely people at BFCR. We both had surgeries to preserve our eyes, but we still need special care taken to ensure they are healthy. He has found his forever home, but I am still looking for a family who can help me clean my eyes and apply antibiotic ointment at times. Even though I'm nervous around people, I am very good at taking my medicine. My eyelid surgery was done with the amazing specialist vet Dr Kelly at the Eye Clinic for Animals.
Although I'm still shy with humans, I adore cat friends. I chirp at everyone and try to be a father to the kittens at the rescue. I'm not a lapcat, but I have enjoyed sitting next to my foster parents while they worked at their computers. When I'm relaxed belly rubs are my favourite, and I'll purr forever to show my appreciation.
My favourite things in the world are showing off my gymnastic skills when chasing the flying feathers and getting treat sachets.
I would do best in a quiet home with no children of any age, and a new cat best friend.
Hunter has had all his vet work done and is in foster care in Northmead. He is now 2 1/2 years old. Thanks so much to Nikki for fostering him as he has come a long way with her patience and understanding.
Rehoming No. 251000014
Hunter has come a long long way since arriving for socialisation a year ago. He is still very skittish but has recently made a break through and realised that ear scratches from humans can get spots he can't reach. Better yet, humans can warm you up if they hold you in winter. Hunter loves to play, living up to his name by catching the laser pointer and various flying feathers. Hunter is a massive cat feline - he loves spending time with his siblings, is incredibly affectionate and doesn't mind when greedy younger brothers steal food or toys. Hunter is looking for a very quiet home with at least one resident cat. He will need some one who will be patient and appreciate the little moments of love.
Medical notes
Eyelid agenesis. Ready to be rehomed as the the Eye Clinic for Animals.
Adoption details
At Brighter Future Cat Rescue we adopt to indoor homes only or homes with suitable cat runs. All our cats and kittens have meet and greets. A 2 week trial period is given to ensure that they are ideal for your situation and lifestyle. All our cats come desexed, microchipped, first vaccination and their worming and flea treatment are up to date. We rescue our cats off the street and would think nothing worse that they be placed back there and in danger of the perils of modern day society.
If you are interested in meeting one of our kittens, please fill in a pre-adoption form and one of our team members will be in contact with you.
