About Rosie - Located in Coburg
Rosie is looking for her furrever home, please read medical notes before applying.
Rosie loves to be picked up and cuddled and is a total smoochy lap cat…….
….unless of course it’s game time where she’ll think you’re the bee’s knees if you play with her. (She loves fetching toy mice and anything interactive such as ‘Da Bird’ or just a piece of ribbon or long blade of grass).
She would love a calm home with a predictable routine where she can enjoy human companionship during the day and not be left alone for too long. She loves the home office environment and enjoys ‘helping’ in Zoom meetings and your online exercise classes. (She gives your ‘cat pose’ a 5/10). Her favourite hobbies are her toy mice, playing interactive games, giving headbutt kisses, laps, and cuddles. She was rescued from a very stressful environment and requires daily anxiety medication but should be able to be weaned off this once she has settled into her new home. Her beautiful nature means that she is easy to medicate. She would be best suited as an only furbaby as other cats frighten her very much.
She also has an inflammatory mouth condition called stomatitis which necessitated the removal of all her teeth. However, that doesn’t hold her back at all. In fact, she LOVES to chew on raw meat chunks, she’s quite amazing. She is embracing her inner tiger and thriving on a raw diet. She needs to be kept on what is known as a ‘novel protein diet’. (This just means proteins like kangaroo – many commercial novel protein cat food varieties are widely available at pet stores).

Medical notes
Rosie suffers from Stomatitis, a chronic inflammation of her mouth which can be very painful when she is not on medication. She is kept comfortable and the inflammation is controlled and with a daily dose of liquid cortisone.
Poor Rosie also suffers from anxiety, she is currently on a daily anti-anxiety medication that her vets recommend keeping her on long term as stress can cause flare ups of her Stomatitis. She is also on a third medication which is a pain relief and anti anxiety medication. This can be weaned down under veterinary guidance after the first 2-3 months after Rosie has settled into her new home and gotten use to your routine.
Rosie is currently on a strict novel protein diet as she reacts to certain foods that cause her stomatitis to flare up.
