How purdy are we? You don’t just get one gorgeous gal, you get the two of us. We’re little ladies who sure know how to turn on the charm. You could say we’re the best sister act in town right now. You want to give us a brush? We’ll lap it up! In fact, as we’ve got medium length hair, we love a good, regular brush to get rid of any clumps. After all, no fussy feline in her right mind wants knots in her fur, right? We’re partial to a visit to the cat groomers too – especially from spring into summer, when we tend to moult a bit. Phew! Imagine dragging these gorgeous, thick fur coats around on a 35 degree day! Speaking of fur coats, Gypsy sports the glossy, light brown variety and Myska is the slightly darker and somewhat more mysterious looking lass.

Are we fffffffrrrrriendly? You betcha. Except maybe for the odd small child and stranger, but hey you can’t love everybody right? With our perfect furrever person, we’ll surround them with our big furry love, day and night. We might be 10, but we’re fighting fit and healthy, and totally in touch with our inner kittens. We’re not averse to a bit of tail-chasing circle work or running after balls. Oh and did someone say dinner? We loooooove our foooood and we’ll let you know when our tummies are rumbling – usually about an hour beforehand. We’re at home indoors (goes without saying), but we do love an enclosed cat run, too! During the day you’ll find us lounging around, usually on a window sill, soaking up the sunshine, getting our vitamin D. Night times we love nothing more than getting on your lap – it’s ok, we’ll share you between the two of us! Then, when you go to bed, we’ll settle down in a favourite cosy chair. We are run by volunteers. We are online between 10am and 6pm daily and try to respond within 24 hours. If you want us to follow up, you can text the Cat Phone on 0415-241-211.
To adopt from us you'll be required to have minimum an online meet & greet, a remote house check, show photo ID & proof of address, and fill out & sign an adoption contract.
Our animals are fully vet checked, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated and desexed before being advertised. They are evaluated for behavioural traits, fed a high-quality diet, and any known issues are communicated. NOT NEGOTIABLE CONDITIONS: indoor only/restrained to property & must be fed raw or vet prescription wet food.
We will communicate through every step of the process to ensure that the experience is excellent your feline companion is the right fit. Read the contract for T&Cs for returns.
You must have residency in Australia to adopt from Cat People of Melbourne. If you are visiting or on a visa, talk to us about fostering instead!
