My name is Wills!
I carry a few battle scars, but if you can see past this, I am awesome. I make it my business to ensure everyone is in bed at the right time, before I retire to my own comfy pen.
With the love and adventures I have received since being in foster care, I have become happy, confident and appreciated. I enjoy going to the park, beach or a drive. Everyone I meet always comments on how handsome and friendly I am.
My foster parents have a non-barking home. I love the quietness that this brings. In my foster home, the cats are the boss. It's no secret they have made my life hell because of my over-excitable tail wagging. We now share a mutual respect and can be seen licking each other’s faces.
Thinking ahead, and what would be best for me? I love being the protector of the family. I enjoy the company of my foster parents. We hang out all the time, even at pool parties. To my own detriment, I have fallen in the pool on more than one occasion. Give me a ball and I can play for hours. I even bring it back!!
Beach time is such a hoot. I am like a kid in a lolly shop. However, I feel more comfortable being close to my family and on a lead.
Both of the dogs in my foster family have been a great coaches for me. I taught Barney how to swim and Millie has shown me how to be patient and to respect others.
My transition has been nothing short of amazing. I remain seated in the car until my lead is applied and I remain extremely peaceful and content walking beside my foster dad. This way I don’t get too excited.
I remain attentive, lovable and extremely caring. My foster mum has cried for several days knowing that I may have to leave.
Whilst I enjoy the company of both Millie and Barney, I am not sure how I will cope if left alone or being the only dog. I just adore company as you will notice in the attached photos. This is something that my new family will need to address. Ideally, if someone is home all day, this will be heavenly...
I cannot wait for my next big chapter.
Love, Wills
