Are you looking for a cuddle bug?
Are you looking for a fur baby who is ALWAYS excited to see you?
Are you looking for an independent, well-trained dog?
Then look no further! Detroit, a 5 year old Great Dane x Mastiff cross is looking for his ‘fur’ever home.
Personality: Detroit is true to his size, a gentle giant ,although he thinks he is a puppy. He loves meeting new people and dogs. While at home, he loves sleeping or lazing around on the couch. He is not a noisy dog and can’t get scared when he hears too much barking from strange dogs. Detroit is also good with kids, although his interaction with kids needs to be supervised due to his size.
Detroit can live with other friendly dogs, or can also be an only dog.
Food: Detroit eats lifewise dry food, raw meat, fresh vegetables, and fruits twice a day. Detroit hates watermelon and bananas.
Exercise: Detroit gets two short walks a day (30 mins each). Detroit is great on the leash, but does pull a little especially when he sees other dogs. He loves to play fetch and loooooooooves squeaky balls.
Training: Detroit knows to sit, wait, stay and down. He needs to go to a home that can commit to training him. He is a very clever boy and a fast learner. He is not very food driven but will do anything for a few scratches and praises.
A little bit of obedience training will definitely help him.
Detroit prefers someone who is home more often than not, though can cope alone for a few hours a day. He needs to be left in an enclosed space, as he can try to escape if he left alone without no food, or exercise. He is also crate trained.
Detroit enjoys car rides, and is toilet trained.
The perfect home for him will be where he will be a cherished member of the family, be allowed indoors, and a commitment to continue his training.
