Hi my name is Shady and I’m looking for humans to adopt me that love me as much as my foster carers do. I have a lot of love to give! I love snuggles and ESPECIALLY belly rubs. If you begin patting me, don’t expect to stop. I will force your hand with a nose punt and you won’t resist my cuteness. I love walks but always need to stop and smell the flowers. If I find a scent, I MUST smell it. If it’s when I’m walking, I will pull my human toward it with all my might. I need and want more training on my lead please.

I’m very reactive to yelling, or any really loud human voices. I get very anxious when there’s too much noise happening at once and tend to jump at people to shoosh them, sometimes I might even feel like I need to protect but I haven’t hurt anyone in the process,I have been left alone on a few occasions, and will howl wishing I could come with you, but once you’re gone my neighbours don’t complain I just curl up on my bed.

I like chew toys, it helps with my anxiety, but I haven’t chewed any of my foster carers belongings nor have I dug holes or done any damage to their house. I currently live in an only pet household, this has been great for me. I am curious about smelling every single dog, but still feel very cautious, so I’ve only been allowed quick sniffs before I keep on walking. I will need a lot more training with socializing, but not sure I'm very fond of cats. I haven’t had much interactions with kids, but again, really loud noises stress me out.

I like to be walked, but I walk my humans. I tire eventually and begin to loosen the slack on the lead, but as seen as I see something that interests me (a smell or another dog) I will begin pulling so hard that I walk sideways. I need more lead training please.

I don’t bark very often, but when I do, I make the funny staffy voice that sounds more like a dinosaur. I am a sweet girl, that has a lot of love to give. I crave your acceptance! I expect belly rubs whenever I can. I already can’t wait to meet you, I have so much love waiting to give.
