George ~ 7yr Old BC X Ridgeback(On Trial 14/11/21)

Meet George! He is a 7yo Border Collie X Ridgeback looking to soak up the love in a quiet new home. He would be the perfect companion for a retired household.

George is an affectionate fellow; he likes human company and a good cuddle. He is used to living a quiet life with a steady routine. He enjoys a daily walk, and although he does tend to pull with just a collar, he walks well with a front connecting harness.

George is used to being left outside when needed, and is happy to sleep outside or inside on his bed. He is a good watchdog and will let you know when someone is around. He doesn’t dig or chew things.

George has a few good dog friends so he can make friends, but he is used to a home with no other dogs. He can be reactive with other dogs if they approach him while he is on lead. At the park, he will come back, but in his own time! And he can get a bit overexcited when balls are being thrown for other dogs.

George isn’t keen on fetch, or bringing back balls, but he does have playful moments and zoomies when happy. He isn’t a fan of swimming but does enjoy a bath and likes having a brush.

George is fine when meeting young children, but he is looking for a home with adults only at this stage in his life.

George’s adoption fee is $450. He is currently located near Port Macquarie but will travel to Newcastle area for meets.
