What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• MUST be allowed inside with my family
• I'm a quiet little man who doesn't really have any interest in interacting with another dog, so I'd be very happy to be the only dog at home getting all of your love to myself.
• Secure Fencing & gates with no gaps I can squeeze through
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• A quiet & mature family/household - this is what I am used too. I'm looking for the quiet life in my retirement years.
• Short regular walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• I can be shy at first so I need a family who'll allow me to grow in confidence in my own time
Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
My best features:
• Gentle & placid
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I walk well on lead
• Well mannered
• Loves water
Where I need to improve / Training required
• I am scared of thunder & fireworks and will bark & whine. I will require a safe space to retreat to during these events as well as comfort and reassurance from my family.
• I do tend to bark and run at other dogs while out walking on a lead, so my new family need to be aware of this behaviour
AN ADOPTION CAN'T BE APPROVED IF YOU CANNOT COME TO THE SHELTER TO MEET PIERRE IN PERSON.
Medical notes
Pierre was hit by a car 12 months ago and as a result has lost the sight in his left eye and has a slightly crooked jaw.
A vet check has determined that he is not in any pain and therefore no further treatment is required.

All dogs and cats are Microchipped and de-sexed before leaving our shelter.
*** NOTE: Animals can be placed on hold for travel time ONLY. If you are interested in a particular animal please contact us on 02 4429 3410 prior to leaving to ensure the animal is still available for adoption and we will pop them on hold until your arrive.
