Harper ~ 5yr Old Border Collie(Rev.Apps 28/10/21)

Meet Harper, she is a 5 year old blue merle Border Collie, with bright blue eyes. This well-behaved, affectionate, sweetheart can’t wait to join your family.

Harper loves to be around the people she loves most, to play tug and to lay in the sunshine. Harper also loves water, she will chase the hose, play at the beach and even sit happily in the rain. This love of water also helps when it comes to bath time, as she will hop into the tub and enjoy every second of it.

Harper has excellent recall, responding to her name and other commands extremely well. Harper is completely house trained. Harper loves to walk and does not pull on the lead, she will walk beside someone she trusts with the lead loose. One of her favourite games is tug, she also loves to play with a soccer ball and is getting a little better at bringing the ball all the way back each day. Harper is a smart dog, who wants to learn and learns very easily in line with what you would expect from the border collie breed.

Harper’s perfect home would be a relaxed environment, with no children under the age of 12, (preferably no children) with an individual or couple who is home more often than not and will be able to offer her lots of patience and love and the stimulation and exercise required for her breed. Once Harper is comfortable and trusts her new family members, she would love to be able to follow her family around the house, inside and outside, and be with them when they are doing everyday activities, taking every opportunity she can to get a pat. Harper is gentle with cats and other animals and is friendly and unreactive to other dogs and animals while on walks and in outdoor settings.

Harper is in foster care in the Newcastle area and is only available for local area adoptions in line with the current Covid restrictions. She is not available for out of area, or interstate adoption. Harper’s adoption fee is $450 and she is desexed, and microchipped and treated for fleas and worms.
